Privacy policy

This policy explains what Lancaster-Towing.com ("we") collects, why, and who receives it. It applies to this website, the phone number shown on it, and the request form.

What we collect

  • Request details you give us: your name, phone number, the vehicle's location, the destination, the vehicle's year, make and model, the service you need, how soon you need it, and any notes.
  • GPS coordinates, only if you tap "Add my GPS location" and your browser asks for and receives your permission.
  • Call information: when you call, the call-tracking service may record the calling number, the time and length of the call and which page you called from. Calls may be recorded for quality and training if a recording notice is played at the start of the call.
  • How you found the site: campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source or an ad click ID), the page you landed on and the referring site.
  • Usage data: if analytics is enabled, Google Analytics collects pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and the buttons you tap, using cookies or similar technology.

How it is used

  • To pass your request to a towing or roadside provider so they can contact you and help with your vehicle.
  • To keep a record of requests in our customer relationship management (CRM) system, follow up on requests that were not answered, and prevent spam and abuse.
  • To understand which pages and campaigns lead to calls and requests, and to improve the site.

Who receives it

  • Towing and roadside providers receive your request details because you asked us to send them. They use it to contact you and perform the service, under their own privacy practices.
  • Service providers that run the site for us: website hosting, form and CRM software, call tracking and analytics. They may only use the information to provide those services.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it.

We do not sell personal information for money outside of passing your request to the provider you asked to reach. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

How long it is kept

Request records are kept as long as needed to handle the request, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations, and are then deleted or anonymized.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California you can ask to know what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of any sale or sharing of it for targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, call (661) 555-0123. We will need to verify your request using the phone number you gave us.

Cookies and analytics

The site works without cookies. If Google Analytics is enabled, it sets first-party cookies to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and Google offers an opt-out browser add-on.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
